After completing CliftonStrengths assessment, my five strengths are input, intellection, activator, connectedness and ideation. Of the five strengths, activator is what I really want others to see most in me. Throughout my life, I have come to realize the importance of leadership, and being the “activator.” The activator is the one that is the motivator and the one that helps gets things done. Everytime I am involved in a group project, I work extremely hard to get everyone in my group motivated to complete the project in time. As a leader, I respect my team members’ ideas in order to make our project as creative as possible. With my organizational skills I am usually the one that conduct meetings and keeps members on track. I also encourage the participation of all members in an enthusiastic manner. During my time at Agnes Scott, I will make sure to put myself out there and learn. This is because as an activator I believe that without action nothing can be done. I have to learn in order to lead. I will take action no matter how hard the decision making process may seem. In addition, my skills as the activator will be beneficial in my leadership class. As an effective leader, I will be able to hone my skills of making accurate decisions and motivating my team members in my leadership class.
